Lotta is one of the multilateral automobile checkpoints across the Russian-Finnish border on the territory of the Kola district of the Murmansk region . Included in the scope of activity of the Murmansk Customs.
General information
Located 231 km along the Lotta highway from Murmansk , 20 km from the village of Svetly . The name received on the river Lotta .
In 1960, in connection with the beginning of the construction of the Verkhnetulomskaya hydroelectric station by Finnish specialists, a simplified border and customs control point was organized. Since January 1967 - the checkpoint "Lotta".
Since 1989, the checkpoint has the status of multilateral - for all citizenships.
Design capacity - up to 150 cars per day.
The adjacent border crossing point in Finland is Raya-Jooseppi ( Fin. Raja-Jooseppi ) ( Inari community). [one]
