Belarus Football Championship 2002 - Golden Match

The Gold Match of the Belarus Football Championship 2002 is an additional match for the gold medals of the Belarus Football Championship 2002 . According to the results of the regular season of the championship of Belarus in the Premier League of 2002, the two teams that took first and second places in the standings scored the same number of points. According to the regulations, an additional match was appointed to determine the winner. In the match, the Grodno Neman and the Borisov BATE met. The match took place on November 8, 2002 at the Minsk Tractor Stadium in the presence of more than 7 thousand spectators. Having won in additional time , FC BATE became the Champion for the second time in its history. The only goal was scored by Borisov defender Valery Tarasenko.
