In 1894, the Kurgan - Omsk line was built, which later became part of the historical route of the Trans-Siberian Railway .

In 1896, the Vargashi station was opened.

On August 23, 1919, the Red Army soldiers of the 37th Infantry Regiment of the 5th Infantry Division liberated Art. Vargashi from the White Guard troops (48th Turin Regiment, Chelyabinsk Cossack Sotnia, Condor armored train). The grave of Red Army soldiers who died during the liberation of the station is located near the railroad bridge. They were buried in the park near the station, demolished in 2001. This is the orderlies of the 6th company, Semenov Dmitry Yakovlevich, a native of the Perm plant of Motovilikha and machine gunner Gladkikh Mikhail, a native of the Vyatka province, Kaminsky district, Vasilyevsky volost, the village of Belyakovsky [2] [3] .
