Gattyana cirrhosa (lat.) Is a species of marine polychaete worms of the family Polynoidae from the order Phyllodocida [2] .

Description
They are found at depths from littoral silt soils up to 1000 m in the waters of the Arctic Ocean , the North Pacific and the North Atlantic , including the Skagerrak and Kattegat straits and the North Sea . Body length up to 50 mm, includes up to 38 segments [3] . On the prostomium, three pairs of antennas ( Polynoinae ) and eyes on ommatophores. Peristomal antennae with cirrophores. The prostomium is divided into two parts by the medial groove. Parapodia are bifurcated. All bristles (sets) are simple [2] [4] [5] . Often found in empty tubes of other polychaetes, for example, Amphitrite , Chaetopterus , Thelepus, or together with bryozoans Melobesia and Amphihelia . One of the most common species in the northern seas is the polychaetes of the Polynoidae family [6] .
