Screeching weasel

Screeching Weasel is a punk rock band native to Chicago , Illinois . The group was formed in 1986 by Ben Wiesel and John Jughead. Since its inception, Screeching Weasel has disintegrated and reformed many times with numerous changes in composition. Ben Wiesel was the only permanent member, although Jughead was present in every reform of the group until 2009. The group also includes guitarist / bassist Dan Schaefer and drummer Dan Sullivan, who recorded on six studio albums, and Green Day bassist Mike Dörnt, who was a short time member of the group. Screeching Weasel recorded 12 studio albums, sharing time between a number of well-known independent labels such as Lookout! and Fat Wreck Chords. Despite the fact that their albums did not have much commercial success, the group was very popular and is one of the most influential groups in the punk environment.
