Eunicidae

Eunicidae (lat.) - a family of marine polychaete worms from the order Eunicida [2] . They have from one to five occipital antennas [3] [4] . Fossil remains are known from Ordovician . They are found everywhere in the seas; several species lead a parasitic lifestyle [5] . One of the largest species - purple Australian Eunice aphroditois - reaches a length of up to 2-3 m [6] . Some species eat coral. Individual individuals can live in reef aquariums, undetected for a long time [7] [8] .
