Installed power is the total nominal electrical power of electric machines of the same type. The term is used to assess the generated or consumed power of electrical systems of both individual organizations and enterprises, as well as industries and geographic regions as a whole. For the nominal power can be taken either the nominal active power , expressed in watts , or the nominal apparent power , expressed in volt-amperes [1] .
In power engineering, the installed capacity of an electrical installation also refers to the greatest active electrical power with which the electrical installation can operate for a long time without overloading in accordance with the technical documentation for the equipment [2] .
