Biography
Born in the Yaroslavl province in a peasant family.
From 1859 to 1870 he studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts. He was awarded the Academy's medals "For Success in Drawing" - in 1862, small silver, 1863 - large silver, in 1867, again small silver [4] [7] .
In 1870 he graduated from the Academy, with the title of a class artist of the third degree and was sent as a teacher to the Tsarskoye Selo district school [8] .
For the painting "Gourmet" and the sketch "The head of a peasant in the Kursk province", exhibited at the academic exhibition of 1872, he received the title of a class artist of the second degree.
In 1878, for the painting βBoy Bulgarianβ, he received the gold medal of the Council of the Imperial Academy of Arts named after A. Rzhevskaya and N. A. Demidov βFor Expressionβ, in 1883 the title of a class artist of the first degree, and in 1893 the title of Academician of the Imperial Academy of Arts [4] [8] .
In 1877 he moved to Kiev. For twenty years [9] , N. I. Murashko taught painting at the Kiev Drawing School , then, at the Kiev Art School founded in 1901 on the basis of the school [8] .
Among his students are the genre painter N. K. Pymonenko , artists N. G. Burachek , M. I. Zhuk .
Exhibitor XXXI and XXXII exhibitions of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions [10] .
Permanent participant of the exhibitions of the Imperial Academy of Arts - in 1886 and 1887 in Odessa, in 1887 in Kharkov and Yekaterinburg in the painting βCascade Peniconβ, in 1888 in Riga, 1888β1889 in Kiev with the painting βBuy Berries!β, In 1889 in Kazan with the paintings "Naymichka" and "Oksana".
In 1889, the painting βZhydrovochkaβ was acquired by I. A. Vyshnegradsky for his collection [7] .
