The Institute of Entrepreneurship and Service ( Tajik. Donishkadai hibmat Hizmat ) is a higher educational institution of the Republic of Tajikistan . Located in Dushanbe . It enjoys the status of a state higher educational institution (broad profile) of the Republic of Tajikistan . Education of students in the university is carried out on a contractual basis in 14 specialties and 20 specializations. Currently, the Institute has more than 3,000 students (2012), about 200 teachers (2012). Rector - Doctor of Economics, Professor Dilovar Polovnikov (2012).

Content
History
It was founded on June 29, 1991 by the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, as the Institute of Public Services. He began work on September 1, 1991 . Since 1995 - Institute of Entrepreneurship and Service (IPS). In the 1991-1992 academic year, students were trained in 4 specialties (88 students in total) and had 1 academic building and 17 classrooms. In the 1995-1996 academic year, 2 faculties and 6 departments were formed, where 23 full-time teachers worked. The number of students was: 756 people. - full-time education and 753 people. - distance learning.
In the 2007-2008 school. for the first time in the IPS educational process, a student credit system (American system of education) was introduced. In the next 2008-2009 academic year. During the year, student training in all specialties was transferred to the European Credit Learning System (ECTS). [1] The Institute provides training for a bachelor's degree - 4 academic. years and master of science - 2 academic year. of the year. Since 2006, the postgraduate study has been functioning at the IPS, which provides training of scientific personnel in 3 economic specialties. According to the Decree of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation of March 19, 2010 No. 426—227, the Dissertation Council for the defense of candidate dissertations in 2 economic specialties was formed in the Institute. Since 1997, the IPS has been publishing the scientific and theoretical journal Paem (Vestnik), since 2008 the website www.dsx.tj.
Over the past years, the activities of the IPS were led by the rectors:
- Umarov Khabibullo Umarovich - 1991-2006,
- Vazirov Zokir - 2006-2008,
- Komilov Fayzali Sadulloevich - 2008-2012.
- Kadyrov Dilovar Bahridinovich - from 2012 to the present
In May 2012, Doctor of Economics, Professor Dilovar Kodirov was appointed the new rector of the institute. [2]
Currently, IPS has: 4 educational buildings, 72 classrooms, 3 training centers - information and communication, registration and information, tourism and hospitality. scientific and electronic libraries, publishing house, sports hall and playground, service and health services. Students are taught at the university in 14 specialties and 20 specializations. [3] . The number of students is more than 3000 students, teachers are about 200 people. (2012).
