Biography
Apprentice Christoph Poppen . Laureate of a number of international competitions, including the Leopold Mozart Competition (Augsburg, 1987 ) and the International Paganini Competition ( 1993 ).
She has performed with leading world orchestras, with conductors Yehudi Menuhin , Gary Bertini , James Levine , Michael Gilen and others. She has toured extensively around the world, including in Russia (for the first time in 2003 , as part of the December Nights festival). In 1997 , she released her first record, two Bela Bartok sonatas, awarded the Gramophone Magazine Award for Best Young Performer of the Year. Also known as a popularizer and promoter of modern music; in 2004, for the first time , she performed the Concert for violin and orchestra by Andre Zholive . Other composers who have dedicated their works to Faust include Jörg Widman and Michael Jarrel .
Since 2004 he has been teaching at the Berlin Higher School of Music .
Laureate of the Franco Abbiati Prize ( 2011 ).
