(374) Burgundy ( fr. Bourgogne ) is a small asteroid in the main belt , which belongs to the bright spectral class S and is part of the Gäfjön family . It was discovered on September 18, 1893 by the French astronomer Auguste Charlotte at the Nice Observatory and named after Burgundy , a historical region in eastern France [1] .
