General Information
Malik is one of the three sons of Mohamed and Heyda Jaziri. His brothers are called Emir and Elies.
Jaziri in tennis since the age of five. Favorite cover - hard.
One of the reasons Tunisian came to tennis was the game Mario Tennis on Nintendo 64, which he was actively fond of in his childhood.
In the course of his playing career, the Tunisian trained for two years in one of the Barcelona academies. In 2011, Malik, among a group of beginner tennis players, completed a special training program ATP . [6]
Jaziri speaks Arabic, English, Spanish and French.
The nickname is Jazz.
- Play style
Malik has a fairly powerful feed. When entering the ball into the game, he is able to give it a speed of up to 200 km / h. When striking from his favorite forehand, he is able to send a match at a speed of up to 160 km / h; Tunisian’s blow from the backhand is no less powerful. Jaziri likes to give the ball extra rotation, as well as return it with flat strokes. At the reception game, he is able to very sharply accept even the strongest innings (as in the game with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in Doha in 2012, or in the game with Sam Grot in Kyoto a few weeks later). Malik performs well at the net, and is also able to perform shortened strokes as hidden as possible from the opponent.
For his playing style, some journalists sometimes call him "Tunisian David Nalbandian."
Sports career
2018-2019 year
At the Australian Open in singles, Malik Jaziri lost to seeded tennis player Gilles Muller in the second round and left the tournament.
In April 2019, along with Italian Simone Bolelli, they reached the semi-finals of the tournament in Marrakesh ( Morocco ), losing to a pair of Matve Middelkopu from the Netherlands and Frederick Nielsen from Denmark in two sets.
