Biography
Arman Yeremyan was born on January 29, 1986 in Yerevan. He started practicing taekwondo under the leadership of Gevorg Danielyan. In 2001-2003, he participated and became the winner of junior international competitions. In 2005, 2007 and 2009, he won bronze medals at the Universiades three times. The most significant success in the sports career of Arman Yeremyan was his victory at the European Championships in Rome (2008). Thus, he entered history as the first Armenian taekwondo player to become the European champion.
In 2012, after winning a license tournament in Kazan , Arman Yeremyan won the right to compete at the London Olympics , which was also an unprecedented success in the history of Armenian taekwondo, which received its representative for the first time at the Olympics. At the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in London, he was entrusted with the honor of carrying the flag of Armenia . At the preliminary stage of the Olympic tournament, Arman Yeremyan defeated Canadian Sebastian Michaud (8: 4) and Dutchman Tommy Mollet (6: 4), but in the semifinal he lost to Argentina with minimal score Sebastian Krismanich (1: 2), who later became Olympic champion then, in the battle for the bronze medal, he lost to Briton Lutalo Muhammad (3: 9) [1] .
