Biography

By nationality - a Jew . A student who graduated from one course at Tomsk University and the school of ensigns. Since July 1917 a member of the RSDLP (b) , the founder and leader of the Bolshevik organization in Vitebsk , a member of the executive committee of the local Council. In 1917 - 1918 the Commissioner for the fight against counterrevolution in Tomsk . In 1918 he returned to Vitebsk , a member of the Provincial Committee of the RCP (b) . Since 1919 - in the Red Army , the head of the political department of the division on the Eastern Front [1] , was awarded the Order of the Order of the Red Banner . After the Civil War, he graduated from the Military-Political School and the Military-Political Academy. From 1922 - in the Political Administration of the Red Army , in 1928 - 1932 the head of the Military-Political Academy, was awarded the second Order of the Red Banner. Since 1933 the head of the political department of the Caucasian Red Banner Army , a candidate member of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b) . Since 1936, the head of the Military Academy of the Red Army and the RKKF , a member of the editorial board of the journal " Military Gazette ". Member of the Military Council of the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR.

Repression

November 10, 1937 dismissed and arrested after 2 days. September 25, 1938 sentenced by the Military Collegium of the USSR Supreme Court to capital punishment. Shot May 18, 1956 rehabilitated.
