Biography

The representative of a noble Polish noble family, dating back to the beginning of the XV century. Coat of arms of Tarlo - Ax . One of the most influential and powerful tycoons of the Commonwealth of the first half of the XVIII century. The son of the governor of Lublin Stanislav Tarlo (d. 1705 ) and Teresa Dunin-Borkovsky.

Educated in France, then stayed at the court of King Louis XIV . Repeatedly elected deputy (ambassador) of the Sejm of the Commonwealth .

The lieutenant general of the troops of the Kingdom of Poland and the chief commandant of the lantern regiment.

Member of the Tarnogrod Confederation .

Supporter of Stanislav Leshchinsky in 1704 and 1710 and his re-election to the throne of the Commonwealth in 1733. In 1734, he was one of the organizers of the Dzikovo Confederation in defense of King Stanislav Leshchinsky. During the war for the Polish inheritance with the combined coalition of Russia and Austria, he commanded a corona army aimed at helping Danzig , besieged by Russian- Saxon detachments, and on April 8, 1734, participated in the battle with the Russian army near Vychecino .

After the deprivation of Leshchinsky, he supported the efforts of the Pototsky magnates in their efforts to achieve reconciliation and an alliance between the Commonwealth with Russia and Austria against Prussia .

Four times served as Marshal of the Tribunal of the Kingdom of Poland .

A large landowner, at the time of his death, owned several cities and more than one hundred villages.

He died childless and was buried in the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in the city of Opole-Lubelsk.

In 1746, he married Sofia Krasinskaya for the fourth time ( 1718 (? 1719) - 1790 ), who, 4 years after his death, in 1754 married again to the Krakow kastelan, Prince Anthony of Lyubomirsky ( 1718 - 1782 ) (she was his second wife).
