Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Ilyichov (born July 18, 1938 , Dolgoprudny, Moscow Region ) is a Soviet and Russian scientist, doctor of technical sciences, professor, director of the Scientific Research, Design and Development and Design and Engineering Institute of Foundations and Underground Structures (NIIOSP) named after N M. Gersevanova. First Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation [1] , Honorary Builder of Russia , Honorary Builder of Moscow, Academician of the International Engineering Academy , President of the Russian Society of Soil Mechanics, Geotechnics and Foundation Engineering.

Biography
Born in a family of civil engineers. He graduated from the 346th high school in Moscow with a silver medal (1955). He graduated from the Moscow Civil Engineering Institute. V.V. Kuybysheva (1960, with honors), Faculty of Industrial and Civil Engineering. He entered graduate school at the Department of Materials Resistance (supervisor Professor S. N. Nikiforov). Candidate of Technical Sciences (1965) [2] . He worked in the dynamics laboratory at TsNIISK them. V.A. Kucherenko .
Doctor of Technical Sciences (1975) [3] . Head of the Laboratory of Soil Dynamics NIIOSP them. N. M. Gersevanova. Director of NIIOSP from 1985 to 2006. President of the Russian Society of Soil Mechanics, Geotechnics and Foundation Engineering (ROMGGiF).
Fundamental results in the field of soil mechanics, foundation engineering and structural mechanics, in the development of a number of theoretical problems of the dynamics and earthquake resistance of foundations and foundations of industrial and civil buildings and structures.
Member of the editorial board of specialized journals: “Foundations, foundations and soil mechanics”, “Structural mechanics and calculation of structures”, “Housing construction”.
He is the author of 250 scientific works, including one monograph, and 5 inventions, 5 reference books
