Air Jordan is a brand name developed by the American company Nike for legendary basketball player Michael Jordan , also known as Jordans. The main focus is high-quality, expensive basketball shoes and clothing. Under the brand are also made shoes for boxers , professional wrestlers, as well as players in American football .
In 1984, Phil Knight , Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nike, signed a contract with a newcomer to the National Basketball Association, Michael Jordan. Jordan I
Despite the fact that the name of Tinker Hatfield most associated with the design of the Air Jordan line, the Air Jordan I was developed by Peter Moore.
