Biography
Born in the family of a soldier. He completed school education in 1971. In 1972-1974 he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army.
In 1975-1981 he studied at the Faculty of Biology of Moscow State University . After graduation, he worked in a specialty at the Omsk Research Institute of Natural Focal Infections (junior, then senior researcher). In 1990 he defended his thesis in virology .
In 1978, he married, in 1979, the son of Gregory (now a priest) was born. In 1988, the wife died.
On November 8, 1995, he was ordained deacon ; on November 26, he was ordained a priest . Since May 1996 - rector of the Church of the Nativity of Christ and St. Sergius of Radonezh, item Krutaya Gorka, Omsk.
In 2008, he was elevated to the rank of archpriest .
In 2009, he graduated from the Tobolsk Theological Seminary , defending a thesis on the theme “Creation of the World by God and the Natural Science Problem of the Origin of Life on Earth”.
Since August 2010 - Secretary of the Omsk Diocesan Administration.
On January 4, 2012, in the Bolshekulachinsky St. Nicholas Monastery, he was tonsured a monk with the name Peter in honor of the Apostle Peter .
Bishops
On June 6, 2012, by the decision of the Holy Synod, he was elected bishop of the newly founded Kalachinsky diocese [1] .
June 17 of the same year in the Assumption Cathedral was elevated to the dignity of Archimandrite Metropolitan of Omsk and Tauride Vladimir (Ikim) [2] .
On July 6, 2012, in the Church of All Saints, in the land of Russia, the Patriarchal residence in the Danilov Monastery, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia headed the rank of Archimandrite Peter in the Bishop of Kalachinsky and Muromtsevsky [3] .
On July 12, 2012, in the church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Lefortovo in Moscow, he was ordained bishop of Kalachinsky and Muromtsevsky. The consecration was headed by the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill , concurred by the Metropolitans of Saransk and Mordovia Barsanuphius (Sudakov) , Omsk and Tauride Vladimir , Bishops of Solnechnogorsky Sergius (Chashin) and Voskresensky Savva (Mikheev) [4] .
