Potter ( Egypt )

Potter is a potter making earthenware .

From ancient times clay was stamped with feet; clay products were made on a circle, by spinning a wheel and burned in the sun, or in special heating furnaces. Clay vessels were used for various purposes, mainly for cooking. Sometimes in such vessels written obligations were kept.

In Jerusalem there was a special estate - the royal potters .
