Yanshou

In 1903, Changshou County (长寿县) was created in these places, named after the Changshouhe River and Mount Changshoushan. After the Xinhai Revolution , in 1914, in order to avoid duplication of names with the Changshou county of Sichuan Province, the county was renamed Tongbin (同 «,“ like Bin ”), since its territory was previously subordinate to Binzhou directly controlled by the commissariat (直隶). In 1929, the county was renamed Yanshou, where the character “Yang” was taken from the name of the Mayanhe River (延河), and the character “Show” was from the name of the Changshoushan Mountain.

In 1931, Manchuria was occupied by Japanese troops , and in 1932 the puppet state of Manchukuo was formed. In 1934, the division of Manchukuuo into 15 provinces and one particular city was introduced, and the county of Yanshou was part of the province of Binjiang.

In 1945, Manchuria was liberated by the Soviet army . After the war, the government of the Republic of China adopted a program of new administrative divisions of the Northeast , and the county of Yanshou was in the province of Songjiang. In 1954, Songjiang Province was annexed to the Heilongjiang Province, and since 1956 the Yanshou County became subordinate to the Mudanjiang Special District of Heilongjiang Province. In 1970, Yanshou County became subordinate to the Songhuajiang Special District. In 1992, the county of Yanshaw was transferred to the subordination of the authorities of Harbin.
