Biography
Born on December 13, 1909 in the village of Cheri, now the Kharagaul municipality of Georgia, in a peasant family. Georgian. In 1935 he graduated from Tbilisi State University . He worked as the head of the organizational department of the Chiatura City Party Committee.
He served in the Red Army from 1935 to 1937. In 1940 he joined the CPSU (b) . In June 1941 he was again mobilized. At the front since August 1942.
He served as deputy commander of the battalion for political affairs of the 802th Infantry Regiment of the 392th Infantry Division of the 37th Army of the Transcaucasian Front, and was a senior political officer. In defensive battles on October 28-30, 1942 in the area of the city of Nalchik skillfully led the company.
In a street battle in the village of Nizhny Chegem, Chegemsky District, Kabardino-Balkaria, he personally destroyed more than two dozen fascists.
