Bostis made his debut in the professional ring in 1996 . To his 19th bout he suffered a first defeat.
Lost on points in a 10 round bout to Israel Cole. In March 2000, defeated Zuri Lawrence .
After this bout, he entered the ring with a famous Ukrainian, Vladimir Klitschko , and lost to him by knockout in the second round.
In September, he won Ed Mahone, and after 2 months he won the former champion, Alfred Cole .
In 2001, he lost by knockout in the first round to another former champion, Tim Witherspoon , and then lost on points to a South African, Francois Bothe .
In 2004, defeated the New Zealander, Chauncey Ulllever. Lost on points to American Calvin Brock .
