Gryazinsky district is an administrative-territorial unit ( district ) and a municipality ( municipal district ) in the east of the Lipetsk region of Russia .
The administrative center is the city of Dirt .

Geography
Area 1440 km². The district borders with the Tambov region , as well as with the Dobrinsky, Usmansky, Lipetsk, Dobrovsky districts of the Lipetsk region.
The main rivers are Voronezh , Matyra , Baigora , Dvurechka , and Lukavka ; Here is the largest Matyr reservoir in the region.
History
The district was formed on July 30, 1928 from part of the territory of the Lipetsk Uyezd as part of the Central Black Earth Region (Central Black Earth Region ) (until September 16, 1929 it was part of the Kozlovsky District , until 1930 - in the Usman District ). After the separation of the Central Black Sea District on June 13, 1934, it became part of the Voronezh Region . With the formation on January 6, 1954, the Lipetsk region was included in its composition. On February 1, 1963, the district was abolished (the territory entered the Lipetsk , Dobrinsky and Usman districts ), but was restored on January 11, 1965.
