Israel first attended the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Amsterdam . The debut was supposed to take place in 2008 , but due to financial difficulties, the application was withdrawn. On July 10, 2012, IBA announced officially the country's participation in the contest by sending Kids.il to the Netherlands with the song “Let the music win” written in 4 languages (Hebrew, English, French and Russian) ) [1] . The Kids.il group took 8th place with 68 points [2] [3] . In 2013, Israel refused to participate.
