Ludry, Ivan Martynovich

Ivan Martynovich Ludry (January 28, 1895 - November 26, 1937) - Soviet naval leader, flagship of the 1st rank . Shot during the Stalinist Purge ( 1937 ). He was posthumously rehabilitated on September 8, 1956 .

Biography

He was born on January 16 (28), 1895, into a peasant family on an Erma farm in the Pärnu County of the Livonia Province, an Estonian.

Member of the Ice Campaign of the Baltic Fleet . [1] Member of the CPSU since 1918; Deputy Chairman of the Kronstadt Naval Committee; since April 1919, Commissioner of the Kronstadt Base.

In September 1919 - February 1920 - Commissioner of the Onega Military Flotilla .

From February to October 1920, he worked as the head of the Prionezhsky regional department of water transport of the People’s Commissariat of Railways in Ascension .

From November 1920, he was appointed commissar of the Naval Forces of the Black and Azov Seas, in 1921-1923. - Commissioner and Commander of the Marine Forces of the Caspian Sea [2]

From 1923 to 1927, student of the Naval Academy of the RKKF.

Since 1927, the commander of the Black Sea coastal defense,

From May 1 to November 28, 1930 he was chief of staff of the Black Sea Naval Forces.

Since November 29, 1930, the head of the Training and Drill Directorate of the Navy of the Red Army.

Since 1932 - Deputy Chief of the Naval Forces of the Red Army [3] .

In 1937 - Head of the Naval Academy of the Red Army. K. E. Voroshilova [4] .

Repressed, shot.

He lived in Leningrad . The definition of the Military College of September 8, 1956 rehabilitated .

He was buried in the new part of the Don cemetery in the common grave of unclaimed ashes No. 1 - victims of repression. There is only a nameplate.
