In 1992 she graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University . Over the years, she worked as editor-in-chief and deputy editor-in-chief in the magazines Lyubimets, Financial Control, Your Furniture, and Story-Passage.

She came to the world of art song in 2007 as the author and performer of her own songs. In 2008, her songs were first published in the poetry collection “Songs are different for people”. In the same 2008, she became the Laureate of the International Festival “Time to Sing”, organized by the Evening Moscow newspaper and the Grouse of the Wood Grouse bard-cafe [1] . She wrote over 100 songs, released 5 CD-albums in the summer of 2009. Alexander Gorodnitsky presented Margarita Shilova in his concert at the barn-cafe "Grouse's Nest". And in March 2010, invited her to participate in his concert at the Polytechnic Museum .

Since 2011, a permanent member of the jury of the International Festival of the World of Bards , the festival of performers of a bard song "Have a good people."

He actively tours in Russia [2] and abroad [3] .

In addition to the author's song, he performs classical Russian romances , gives concerts in the Central House of Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences CDU in Moscow . Performs in the bard-cafe "Grouse's Nest", "Alma Mater", "Blue Trolleybus". Honored and welcome guest and jury member of many Russian festivals. Her programs were devoted to two programs on TV channel “ L-Minor ”, the program “Sunday in Moscow” on Radio Russia , a live broadcast in the program “Morning Express” on TV channel 4 in Yekaterinburg , and also the article “Good luck - you are my guide” in the newspaper "Free wind". In 2017, the song “Heart of Russia” became the official anthem of the bard song festival “There, Under the Bald Mountain”.
