History

Background

The first official football match in Belgorod took place in 1923 on the city’s sports ground (currently the central stadium “Salyut” is located on this site). The teams “Zheldor” (“Locomotive”) and “Cerabcoop” (“Spartak”) played.

In 1928, the team of the local military garrison in the championship of the Moscow military district took second place, losing only to the capital's army team.

In 1940, the Belgorod Spartak, having defeated the teams of regional centers - Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, reached the quarter finals of the RSFSR Cup, where in a bitter struggle they lost to the Tula players.

During the Great Patriotic War , football players Semyon Fedorovsky, Vladimir Krivosheev, Georgy Zolotukhin, Rostislav Sapozhkov, Vsevolod Vladimirov died in battle. The war interrupted the sporting life of the city.

In 1951, the Belgorod Spartak made its debut in the championship of the RSFSR.

Football received a new impetus after the formation of the Belgorod region in 1954. Belgorod football players stably performed in the championship of the RSFSR. The best result here was achieved by Pishchevik, who in 1957, at the end of the season, was able to finish in 4th place in the zonal tournament.

Club appearances in USSR championships

In 1960-1961 in class “B” of the USSR championship, the team performed under the name “Cementer”, but was removed from the USSR championship, according to the official version due to low sports performance. In 1964, the main team of the city was reorganized, changing its name to Spartak. In 1968, Belgorod Spartak took third place in the USSR Championship in Class B and moved to the second group of Class A (an analogue of the current first division). For a good game, Belgorod football players earned the title of USSR masters of sports. The most famous pupil of Belgorod football from the sixties, striker Yuri Vasiliev, played for Salute, 1967-1973; 1975-1980; The Spark (Smolensk) 1973-1974; He was the captain of the Salute. In 1970, in the year of the 25th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the club was renamed “Salute”. ( Belgorod, along with Orel, bears the honorary title “The City of the First Salute ”).

After reforming the structure of the USSR football championship (creating the highest, first and second leagues) since 1971, the club played in the second league of the USSR football championship. In 1971, Belgorod football players took third place in the zonal tournament, and this result was the best for all the time the team played in the All-Union Second League. In the 70s, Salyut most often participated in the competitions of the third zone of the second league, where the teams of the regional centers of the Central Chernozem Region ( Belgorod , Kursk , Voronezh , Tambov , Lipetsk , and also Bryansk ) and the team of the South of Russia (republics of the North Caucasus) were combined Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, Elista , Astrakhan , Volgograd ). In these years, the team did not claim to be upgraded and was middle peasant, annually taking places in the middle of the tournament table and having an average attendance of home football matches of 8-9 thousand spectators. Club Performances in Russian Championships

In 1992, Energomash played in the newly created First Russian League , at the end of the season took 16th place in the western zone and flew into the Second League . In 1993, the club teamed up with fellow countrymen from Rhythm and took first place in the 2nd zone of the Second League, but due to the reorganization of our football, they were not upgraded in class. In 1994, Salute took 13th place in the Second League. In 1995, Salute finished last in the Second League and flew into the Third League . However, the team did not stay there for a long time: with the sponsorship of the Yukos oil company, already in 1996 it returned to the Second League, where it played for 3 years, when, without funding from the municipal budget and sponsorship money, Salyut-Yukos flew to KFK . In 2000, the team, already under the name "Salute-Energy", took first place and returned back. The most famous pupils of the 1990s: defender / midfielder Yuri Bavykin , goalkeeper Sergey Ryzhikov , goalkeeper Alexei Polyakov , midfielder Yevgeny Onoprienko , midfielder Igor Ermakov .

Club Rebirth

In 2001, an official and businessman Nikolay Golovin was appointed president of the club, who managed to find sponsors for the club and provide decent funding to Belgorod residents. The club attracted several well-known players in the Black Earth Region, in particular, Valery Masalitin , who started his career in Salute, who, despite being 35 years old, became the team's top scorer of the season (34 games / 23 goals), however after leaving Belgorod, failing to agree on a new contract. In that season, the club, having started unsuccessfully, dispersed by the end of the season and almost reached the First Division, losing two points to Lipetsk Metallurg .

The following season, the management was tasked with reaching the First Division, but since the beginning of the season the team has shown average results, and in June twice lost in a row to two outsiders of the championship. On June 29, head coach Oleg Tereshonkov was removed from his post and transferred to work with the double. The new steering of Salyut-Energia was Sergey Savchenkov , in the past - the defender of the Belgorod team, and already in the next match the team managed to take revenge from the Lipetsk Metallurg. In the period of additional applications, the club seriously strengthened and, having gained several important victories, returned to the top of the table. In late August, Savchenkov unexpectedly decided to leave his post, responding to the invitation of his native “ Torch ”. Vacant place was taken by Vladimir Ponomarev, invited from the Sokol coaching staff. The team spent the rest of the season with varying success, eventually lagging behind the winner of the Center zone, Lipetsk Metallurg, by 19 points and 9 points from the silver medalist - Podolsky Vityaz .

On October 31, 2002, Valery Nenenko, known for his work in the High Division with the Voronezh Fakel, was appointed head coach. Also in the offseason there have been major changes in the leadership of the club.

Before the 2003 season, Salyut-Energia was replenished with a lot of players who played in the Top Division: Gennady Strikalov , Alexander Beskrovny , Dmitry Shirshakov , Igor Zakharov , Alexander Grishin , Gennady Semin , Igor Gavrilin , Vitaliy Safronov . However, this eminent team again could not fit into the number of leaders from the start, and therefore the next head coach of Salut again could not finish it until the middle of the season: Valery Nenenko was fired in June. Golovin called the appointment of Valery Georgievich his mistake. Sergey Shestochenko became the head coach, and sports director Sergey Andreev was appointed the actual team leader, who was officially appointed head coach in September.

The new mentor managed to rally the famous football players, and the victories went one after another, the Belgorod residents quickly rushed to the first place, for which Orel and Dynamo ( Bryansk ) fought. Under the new coach, 20 victories in 23 matches were won and only 8 points were lost. The result was a repeat of last year - bronze.

The best midfielder of the 2nd division (zone Center) of 2003 was recognized by Evgeny Onoprienko

In the off-season between the club’s president Nikolai Golovin and Sergey Andreev, “disagreements arose on the main issues”, and the Rostov mentor left the club. The new head coach was appointed Alexander Kuznetsov . Most of the players from last year’s composition after Andreev’s departure also left Belgorod, in their place the new coach attracted young people from the double and CSKA sports school, where he worked for a long time. In the championship, the team settled firmly in the middle of the tournament table, and in June the traditional resignation of the head coach followed, this time on their own. Sergey Savchenkov, who was declared as a sports director, was again invited to Belgorod.

Team Takeoff

On July 6, 2004, the Presidium of FC Salyut-Energia was convened, at which Nikolai Golovin announced his resignation as president of the club, and. about. the president was appointed mayor of Belgorod Vasily Potryasaev (on August 9 he was approved in office) and the task was set to take a place in the top five. The team completed the first round in 14th place.

July 22, Sergey Andreev, who signed the 2.5-year contract, was reappointed as the head coach of Salyut. In the second round, under his leadership, the club won 12 victories with 1 draw and three defeats, gaining 37 points - two times more than in the first round. The task for the season was completed (5th place). Igor Ermakov was recognized as the best midfielder of the 2nd division (Center zone) 2004.

By the 2005 season, the team was finally getting ready in a normal rhythm. Andreev managed to return several players who played under his leadership. Largely due to the competent work of the coach and the lack of scandals, the team successfully solved the problem: it won first place in the Center zone and entered the First Division. Evgeni Kornyukhin was recognized as the best goalkeeper of 2005 in the second division (Center zone) (24 goals conceded).

In December 2005, due to disagreements with the leadership, Sergey Andreev left the club with a scandal, saying: “I am a professional coach. My task is to train football players, help them progress and solve the tournament tasks that people who contain it set before the club. <...> I came to the club twice and twice gave the agreed result. But he was tricked twice, not least financially. Today, the Belgorod stage of my career is finally closed. ” [one]

Working in Belgorod, Andreev won 59 of 73 matches (81%).

Divisions One and Two

Alexander Koreshkov was invited to the place of the head coach.

In the debut season in the First Division, “Salute-Energy” stayed among the middle peasants, not far from the relegation zone. In September, a recession in the game followed, and Koreshkov resigned, taking responsibility for the team’s failures. Until the end of the season, the duties of the head coach were performed by Viktor Prokhorov. Under his leadership, the game leveled off, and Salute finished the season twelfth.

For the new season, the team was prepared by Sergey Savchenkov , who had already worked in Belgorod in 2002 and 2004. The composition has undergone significant changes: many experienced players have left the club. As well as Koreshkov, Savchenkov did not manage to work in Salut until the end of the season, resigning on October 11 after a series of defeats and explaining his departure “by the loss of efficient contact with the team in the second round”. Belgorod residents had to finish the season again under the leadership of Prokhorov. The result was ninth place.

In 2008, management appointed Vladimir Zinich , a local specialist, who did not have a coaching license at that time, as the head coach. Legally, Pyotr Poteshkin became the team's mentor, but at the beginning of the championship Zinich fell ill, and Poteshkin turned into the de facto head coach. A number of defeats at the start and the last place in the table led to his resignation. To save the team was called Sergey Tashuev . A competent policy in the period of additional applications and a series of victories at the finish, including over applicants for upgrades in the class, allowed Belgorod residents to leave the relegation zone by the end of the season and repeat the 2006 result - twelfth place.

In 2009, the team and coach Tashuyev were tasked with getting into the top five. At the beginning of the championship, the club occupied the first line for several rounds, but failed to stay in the lead. As a result, the Salute-Energia Championship finished in seventh place, this is the best result in the history of Belgorod football. This season, football players Alexander Belenov , Sergey Kotov , Maxim Vasiliev, Ivan Zhirny, Nikolai Markov , Vadim Starkov, Igor Ermakov, Valery Korobkin , Sergey Kushov , Denis Tkachuk, Vladimir Leshonok , Evgeny Schipitsin , Amir Bazhev , Vladimir Levshin played .

At the end of the season, Tashuyev received an offer from Krasnodar and decided to leave the club. On December 16, a contract with the club under the 1 + 1 scheme was signed by a well-known former player of the Moscow Spartak and the national team of Belarus , coach Miroslav Romashchenko .

On January 23, 2010, the club announced the return of the historical name Salute.

On July 17, 2010, the club’s official website announced the termination of contracts with Amzor Aylarov and two legionnaires - Yovan Tanasievich and Ignas Dedura . On August 23, Leonid Kuchuk , who trained the club since May, was dismissed. Prokhorov again became a coach. On August 25, Prokhorov resigned as executive director and coach of the team. The head coach was Yuri Bykov . On November 3, after a defeat from the Khabarovsk SKA-Energia , Salyut lost even the theoretical chances of maintaining a place in the first division. [2] On November 10, by decision of the Board of Trustees of the club, Yuri Bykov was dismissed. [3]

Before the start of the 2011/2012 season, “Salute” was replenished by Alexander Krivoruchko , Dmitry Burmistrov , Denis Degtev . In the 2011/12 season, the club, led by Maxim Vasiliev, won in the “Center” zone of the second division and entered the FNL . Under the leadership of Vasilyev, “Salute” won 25 victories in 39 games, lost 6 meetings, tied 8 matches. FC Salute scored the most goals this season (78 goals).

  • Maxim Vasiliev recognized as the best coach of the Second Division in the Center zone 2011/2012
  • Denis Tkachuk recognized as the best midfielder and player in the “Center” zone of the Second Division (played 37 games this season, scored 18 goals)
  • Alexander Krivoruchko recognized as the best goalkeeper in the Center zone (conceded 31 goals in a season)

Since June 5, 2012, Sergei Abuezidovich Tashuev was appointed the new coach of FC Salyut. Before the start of the 2012/2013 season, newcomers were announced for the team: Azamat Kurachinov , Evgeni Kaleshin , Maxim Yakovlev , Dmitry Kabutov , Andrey Kobenko , Colombians Carlos Roy , David Cortes , Jairo Mosquera . According to the results of the first half of the championship, “Salute” took 15th place (20 matches, 4 wins, 6 draws, 10 losses).

Club Bankruptcy

On August 6, 2013 Sergey Tashuev left the post of head coach of FC Salyut and became the head of Metallurg Donetsk . On August 24, Sergey Podpalyi , who previously held the position of executive director in the club, became the new head coach of the team. In the same season, having beaten the Moscow Dynamo on their field, the club entered the 1/8 Cup of Russia, which was the highest achievement of FC Salyut in this tournament.

On February 2, only 5 players remained in the team. On February 17, Salyut notified the FNL of withdrawal from the competition due to financial difficulties. [4] [5] On June 30, 2014, the club was declared bankrupt and disbanded. [6]

Club Rebirth

At the end of the 2017/18 season, Energomash created to support football was disbanded [7] , and Salute was recreated under the name Salute Belgorod. The club is declared in the PFL Championship 2018/2019 [8] . The acting head coach of the team is the former football player of the club Vadim Starkov , but due to the lack of the necessary license, the head coach declared Maxim Vasiliev .
