Body length 37 cm, tail 18 cm. The color of the plumage is beautiful and bright in red, blue and green. The lower side of the body, the head, his neck is carmine-red, his shoulders, back, upper covering feathers of the tail and the nape of blue. The wings are green with a blue stripe.
It lives in the north-west of New Guinea , the northern Moluccas and some other nearby islands.
