Safarov, Rovshan Ilyas oglu

Rovshan Ilyas oglu Safarov ( azerb. Rövşən İlyas oğlu Səfərov ) is an Azerbaijani paralympic judoka , performing in the weight category up to 90 kilograms and the category of blindness B2, two-time European champion (2009 [1] , bronze medalist of the world championships 2010 [2] and 2014 [3 ] He represented Azerbaijan at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London and at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where he won a bronze medal.

In September 2016, Safarov was ordered by President Ilham Aliyev for high achievements at the XV Summer Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, as well as for his achievements in the development of Azerbaijani sports, was awarded the Progress medal [4] .

At the 2017 European Championships, Safarov won a gold medal [5] . In the same year, he became the bronze medalist of the Islamic Solidarity Games held in Baku [6] .
