Pharmacological action
It acts bactericidal against infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus (including strains that are resistant to methicillin, Neisseria gonorrhoeae , Haemophilus influenzae , Neisseria meningitidis , Branhamella catarrhalis , Pasteurella multocida , Proteus mirabilis , Proteus vulbereroberoblobero vulgaris , pertussis .
Bactroban is not active against Corynebacterium spp. , Enterobacteriaceae spp. Micrococcus spp .
It inhibits isoleucine-transfer-RNA synthetase, which leads to impaired protein synthesis in bacteria.

Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to the drug.

Allergic reactions at the place of application of the drug.
Drug Interactions
The drug interaction of mupirocin with other drugs is poorly understood.
Caution
Mupirocin is used carefully for changes in kidney function. Avoid contact with eyes.
