Borle, Jacques

Jacques Borle was born in Kisangani ( Belgian Congo ), in 1957, three years before the country's independence. His father was the last governor of the Belgian province of Kivu . The family moved to Brussels in 1960. ^[1] Jacques Borlet was married to Edith de Martelaere, a Belgian athlete , champion of Belgium at a distance of 200 m ^{[2] [3]} . They have five children ^[4] . Jacques also has two children from his second marriage ^[2] . He is also a co-founder of selsrussels αthletics, a non-profit organization that supports the interest of the metropolitan region Brussels in sport and, in particular, contributes to the development of athletics .

Jacques Borlet was a sprinter who specialized in distances of 100 m , 200 m and 400 m . He won eight Belgian Athletics Championships ( 100 m : in 1981 and 1983 , 200 m : 1979 , 1981 , 1983 and 1984 , 400 m : in 1982 and 400 m c / b : in 1977 ) ^{[3] [5]} .
