According to legend, after 140 years after the death of Archbishop Joseph, in 1821, when transporting the bell, a plate was accidentally discovered over the grave of Bishop Joseph. When they lifted it and opened the coffin, it turned out that the body of the saint and his clothes were not damaged at all from time to time. Soon, in the village of Lytkarine, during a mass illness of children, a fever occurred to a woman in a dream, commanding him to serve a memorial service at the grave of Archbishop Joseph and take the land from the grave, after which the Lord would have mercy on them. The woman performed everything that was told to her, and by her faith the disease stopped. Grateful residents of the village erected a granite monument on the grave of the Bishop and every year on the day of his death, June 29, performed a requiem at the grave of the saint.
