Flash flood

Flash flood - a short-term flash flood , which can be caused by heavy rainfall, sudden melting of snow, collapse of the dam or breakthrough of ice jam. A feature of flash floods is the rapid increase in water level. Flash floods are often accompanied by significant floods and are one of the most dangerous natural phenomena [1] .
