Lighthouse at Cape Slepikovsky

The lighthouse at Cape Slepikovsky was built by the Japanese in 1934 [2] , when the southern part of Sakhalin was the prefecture of Karafuto , which was part of the Japanese Empire . The height of the lighthouse is 27 meters.

The lighthouse is almost the complete double of the lighthouse at Cape Lamanon . It is a circular tower, which, as in most of the Sakhalin lighthouses of Japanese construction, is connected by corridors with auxiliary and residential premises. At the lighthouse, a rainwater collection system was used for food and technical needs: on the roofs of the premises of the lighthouse complex, drainage grooves were arranged, along which water, passing through filters, was collected in underground concrete tanks [3] .
