Origin and history of names

Before the revolution of 1917, the street was called Matryoninskaya . In 1921, the street was named the Worker Elephant , about which no information has been preserved. In 1929, the street was renamed, giving it the modern name of Sinyaev [3] in honor of the working revolutionary of the Verkh-Isetsk plant Sergey Artamonovich Sinyaev, an active organizer of the Red Guard , who died in battle near the Sylvinsk plant in 1918 [2] [1] .

Location and amenities

Sinyaev Street runs from east to west between the streets of Kirov and Nagornaya . The street starts from Melnikov Street and ends at Krasnouralskaya Street [1] [2] . It intersects with Tokarey and Sukhorukova streets ( it does not have direct exits to these streets). No junction with the street.

The length of the street is about 750 meters. The width of the carriageway is one lane in each direction of movement. There are no traffic lights or unregulated pedestrian crossings throughout the street.

History

The street appeared in the XVIII century . Its occurrence was associated with the initiative of the owner of the Verkh-Isetsk plant Count Roman Larionovich Vorontsov , who proposed in 1766 to plant 44 peasant families from the Matryoninsky volost in the village of Andreevsky ( Vladimir province ). These peasants of Matryonin volost built a street [3] . Street tracing is shown on the plan of Yekaterinburg in 1788 [4] .

From the residential development of the street there is only one multi-storey panel residential building built in 1968. Other buildings overlooking Sinyaev Street are assigned to neighboring streets. The southern side of the first quarter of the street is occupied by the utility buildings of the Uralkabel plant.

During the expansion of Tatishchev Street to 58 Sinyaev Street, a wooden one-story house was moved with outbuildings and a gate; it is an example of a wooden building of the Verkh-Isetsky village of the beginning of the 20th century with decorative elements in the Art Nouveau style [5] .
