Geography
The Lipki River has its beginning on the northeastern slopes of the Markotkh Range , at the eponymous pass [3] . In the upper reaches of the river, the Neberdzhaevskoe reservoir was constructed (air intake is 1-2 km long, 1 km wide, a reservoir was constructed to supply residents of Novorossiysk with drinking water) [3] . The river flows into the Adagum river in the Krymsk region [3] .
In the central part of the river flow is the village of Neberdzhaevskaya , where Neberdzhay is directly formed by the confluence of the Lipka and Bogago rivers.
Name Origin
In the Adyghe language, the word nybejay literally means “bloodthirsty”, “predatory eagle”, which is found in folklore and modern literary language [3] . The toponym, in the opinion of A. V. Tverdy , needs additional research [3] . According to Koveshnikov, the name of the Bogago River is translated as “tearful” [4] .
