Length - 16 [2] km. The catchment area is 49.6 km².
It flows in the central part of the island 48-49 km south-west of the city of Severo-Kurilsk .
It originates on the northeastern side of the Stone Mountain of the Levinson-Lessing Range. In the upper reaches it immediately rests on the slopes of Mount Kedrach and turns northwest to the Sea of Okhotsk . In the middle and lower reaches, the channel is very winding. It flows into the Shelekhov bay, 1 km southeast of the former village. Shelekhovo on the west coast of the island [3] .
The largest tributary is the South Quiet .
The catchment area belongs to the North Kuril urban district of the Sakhalin region .
