Yan Shigu

Yan Shigu 58 (Yán Shīgǔ), 581 - 645 - Chinese writer and linguist ep. Sui (581-617) and Tang, the author of important commentaries on the Chinese Pentateuch, Shiji and Hanshu .

He took part in editing Hanshu. The Shigu phonetic glosses have become an important contribution to the understanding of Han od fu .

The descendant of Yan Shigu was Yan Zhenqing , a 8th-century calligrapher.
