Biography
Strett was born in Alberta, Canada. She studied golf at Lookout Point Golf Club under the supervision of Gordon Masinnis Sr. She is one of the most successful Canadians in amateur golf and the only one who has won the championships in Australia, Britain, Canada and the USA among amateurs. She graduated from Rolling College in 1956, and in the same year won the student golf championship (now the NCAA Women's Golf Championship ) [1] .
Stret was a member of the Canadian national team, who participated in the Espirito Santo Trophy in 1966, 1970, 1972 and 1984. She received the Bobby Rosenfeld Award , as Canada's Best Athlete of the Year, five times. [2]
