Biography
In 1934 she graduated from the Tatar College of Arts (now the Kazan Art College ).
Since 1942, a regular participant in the exhibitions of the TASSR, zonal and All-Russian, among which are such as “Soviet Russia” and “Big Volga” (II - Volgograd, 1967, July-August; III - Ulyanovsk, 1969, November-December; V - Kazan, 1980, March-May). Six personal exhibitions of Mavrovskaya took place in Kazan: 1981 - at the A.M. Gorky Museum, where Mavrovskaya's works are presented in one of the halls of the permanent exhibition, etc.
In 1968 she was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR, in 1986 she became an Honored Worker of Culture of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
M. Mavrovskaya fruitfully worked in the House of Creativity of the Union of Artists of the USSR “Chelyuskinskaya”.
Creativity
Made a significant contribution to the development of Tatar graphics. In the creative heritage of the artist - landscapes, portraits, still lifes, genre compositions. She created a number of valuable watercolors, drawings, prints (etching, lithography, monotype).
The early works of M.K. Mavrovskaya, devoted to Gorky, Tukay , Pushkin, are based on historical and literary motifs.
The bulk of her work is connected with the history of Kazan culture .
