Geographical position
Muir is located 34 km southeast of Avignon and 8 km northeast of Gorda . Neighboring communes: Llou in the east, Zhukas in the south, Proud in the south-west, Venascus in the north-west.
The commune is located in the center of the eastern ridge of the Vaucluse massif.
Hydrography
Although the mountains on which Muir stands have water reserves, but due to the low level of annual rainfall, the commune is not crossed by constant water flows. Porous karst limestones form a cavity system. Studies have shown that labeled fluorescent water absorbed on the territory of the commune leaves the Vaucluse spring in Fontaine de Vaucluse .
On the territory of the commune are the sources of the tributaries of Imerga Veronkl and Karle .
