William "Bill" Hope ( Eng. William Hope , born March 2, 1955 , Montreal , Quebec , Canada ) - Canadian theater, film and television actor, best known for his role as Lieutenant William Gorman in the fantasy film " Aliens " (1986).

Biography
William Hope was born on March 2 in 1955 in Montreal (Canada), he studied at the National Youth Theater and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London. After graduation he worked almost continuously in the theater for the next seven years. In the mid-1980s, he was invited to play the main role in the Stanley Kubrick film “ Full Metal Jacket ”, but refused to shoot in favor of Lieutenant Gorman in James Cameron ’s film “ Aliens ” (1986).
