Candido Ramírez ( Spanish: Cándido Saúl Ramírez Montes ; born June 5, 1993 in Leon , Mexico) is a Mexican footballer . Attacking midfielder of the Atlas club and the Mexican team .

Club career

Ramirez was born in Leon and is a graduate of the academy of the same club . In 2008, he played for the reserve team of Leon, and then played for the teams of the fourth division - Atletico San Francisco, Zapateros Garra Leonesa and Union Leon. He became the top scorer of the fourth Mexican division, scoring 45 goals in 93 matches.

In the summer of 2011, Candido became a player in Santos Laguna . Santos coach Benjamin Galindo gave him a chance to prove himself on December 11, 2011 in a match against Tigres . This was his only appearance at the 2011 Aperture. Six months later, he helped Santos win the championship by taking part in 17 matches. Ramirez also took part in the CONCACAF Champions League , where he got with his team to the finals. October 4, 2012 in a match against Atlas , scored his first goal for the club and helped the team win, 2-1 [2] .

In June 2013, Ramirez was leased to the UNAM Pumas club in exchange for Eduardo Herrera [3] . On July 21, in his match against Puebla , he made his debut for a new team [4] .

On November 13, 2013, Ramirez was rented by the Monterrey Club with the right of further redemption [5] . At the end of the season, in the summer of 2014, the contract was redeemed. On February 2, in a match against WANL Tigres, he made his debut for a new club, replacing Neri Cardoso in the second half [6] . On April 6, Candido scored his first goal for Monterrey in a duel against his former Santos Laguna club [7] .

In the summer of 2016, Ramirez transferred to Atlas on a rental basis. On July 31, in his match against Veracruz , he made his debut for a new team [8] . On August 7, Candido scored his first goal for Atlas in a duel against Monarcas Morelia [9] .

International Career

In 2012, he was invited by the coach of the Mexican youth team, Luis Fernando Tenet, to the national team to participate in an international tournament in French Toulon . The Mexican national team won the tournament, and Candido became one of the best players in the tournament, scoring two goals. He distinguished himself in the semifinal match against the Dutch national team , and in the final match against the Turkish national team, in addition to the goal, Ramres was recognized as the best footballer of the match [10] .

Ramirez made his debut for the national team of Mexico on February 11, 2016 in a friendly match with the national team of Senegal , replacing Jurgen Damm in the second half [11] .

In 2016, Ramirez took part in the America's Cup in the USA . At the tournament he was a substitute and did not enter the field.
