Falling in love is a strong positively colored feeling (a complex of feelings) directed at another person. According to psychologists , falling in love is accompanied by a narrowing of consciousness , which may result in a distorted assessment of the object of falling in love. The lover turns a blind eye to the shortcomings of a loved one and to the contradictions that arise in relations with him, while his positive qualities and positive experience of interaction acquire special value. Despite the positive coloration of the feeling of falling in love itself, it can lead to strong negatively colored feelings, for example, when the object of love reacts negatively to the actions of the lover.
Falling in love is an unstable state of consciousness: it exists as a phase that flows in one or another, always finite period of time. It can subside, end and reappear. At the end, falling in love can turn into another feeling, for example, in love .
English-language psychological literature often uses the neologism of Limerence , introduced by American behaviorist professor Dorothy Tennov. It is curious that this word is a purely a priori invention of the author, compiled for reasons of harmony, and does not go back to any other word. In German literature, the traditional term Verliebtheit is preferred.
Sometimes they also talk about falling in love with an object or occupation, if such feelings are felt towards it.

The boundaries of the concept
An unambiguous definition of the boundaries of the concept of “love” causes difficulties for specialists.
Falling in love differs from sexual desire in that it is not limited to a purely physiological sphere - they fall in love with a person as a whole, and not with his body.
Differences in love from love to identify the most difficult. Usually, a shorter duration of falling in love is emphasized than love and a greater intensity of the experiences associated with it. However, even this is not a reliable criterion.
