Vardan Mamikonyan's Oak is one of 230 natural objects included in the state list of natural monuments of Armenia ; located in the region of Tavush region of Armenia , near the village of Aknaghpur . The oak tree is known for being planted personally by the commander-in-chief ( sparapet ) of the Armenian army Vardan Mamikonyan before the Avarayr battle on May 26, 451 AD er In mid-November 1975, during a thunderstorm, a tree collapsed as a result of a lightning strike. At that time he was about 1524 years old.

Khachkar was brought here in 1996 from the area Verin Danagran (Վերին Դանաղռան), near Ijevan . The customer of the khachkar is a certain Avetis, and the khachkar is dated 1301 [1] .
