Archimandrite Roman (in the world, Mikhail Vadimovich Krasovsky or Krassovsky ; born 1959 , San Mateo , California ) - archimandrite of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia , head of the Russian Orthodox Church Mission in Jerusalem .

Biography
Born in 1959 in San Mateo in the family of Russian emigrants Vadim and Larisa Krasovsky [1] . By his own admission: “My father, Vadim Vladimirovich Krasovsky, was the chairman of the brotherhood of All Saints in the land of Russia who shone. When Vladyka Anastasiy [Gribanovsky] lived there, there were daily services, my older brothers (I am the youngest) served. And everyone went along the spiritual line, although this was not in our family ” [2] .
In childhood, he helped to serve St. John (Maximovich) at the altar [3] .
In 1984, he graduated from Holy Trinity Seminary in Jordanville , becoming a bachelor of theology and enrolled in Holy Trinity Monastery .
Since 1985, he taught church singing and liturgy at Holy Trinity Seminary and led the right choir at Holy Trinity Monastery. [4] With the blessing of the Synod of Bishops, he was editor-in-chief of the Holy Trinity Orthodox calendar with liturgical instructions. [5]
In 1992, on the eve of the Praise of the Mother of God holiday , the Archbishop of Syracuse and Trinity Lavra (Shkurla) was tonsured a monk with the name Roman, in honor of the Monk Roman Sladkopevts [5] .
On July 17, 1993, Archbishop Laurus was ordained to the rank of Hierodeacon , and on May 6, 1994, in Svetly Pyatok, Archbishop Laurus was ordained consecrated Hieromonk [5] .
On February 11, 2005, Metropolitan Laurus was awarded the right to wear the golden cross in recognition of his many works, including the leadership of the Holy Trinity Theological Seminary and Monastery choir and the teaching of church singing in the seminary [6] .
In May 2007, he visited Russia with a delegation to restore mysterious communication between the Russian Church at home and the Russian Church abroad as part of a pilgrimage group of clergy from different dioceses of the ROCOR [7] .
On March 19, 2008, by decree of the First Deputy Chairman of the ROCOR Synod of Bishops, Archbishop Hilarion (Kapral) was included in the commission created at the same time for the analysis and distribution of personal belongings and shrines of the late world politician Lavra [8] .
January 9, 2012 was awarded with a club .
On June 14, 2012, by decree of the Synod of Bishops, the ROCOR was temporarily appointed acting head of the Russian Theological Mission in Jerusalem (ROCOR), while Archimandrite Tikhon (Amelchenyi), who was on the bed of the disease, retained his position [5] .
On October 9, 2012, by the decision of the ROCOR Synod of Bishops, the acting head of the Russian Theological Mission in Jerusalem was approved, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Archimandrite Tikhon, was relieved of his post [9] . November 8 arrived at the place of service [10] .
On April 20, 2013, at the Ascension Convent in Eleon, the Archbishop of Berlin and Germany Mark elevated Hieromonk Roman, confirmed by the Synod of Bishops as Head of the spiritual mission of the Russian Church Abroad in Jerusalem, to the rank of hegumen . On April 21 of the same year, in the Russian convent of Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene in Gethsemane, Archbishop Mark elevated Hegumen Roman to the rank of Archimandrite [11] .
