A deep- laid station is a station laid at such a depth at which it is constructed in a closed manner without opening the ground surface [1] .
A deep-laid station is a station located at a depth of more than 20 meters from the rail head [2] ; such a station is connected with the vestibule by an inclined course with escalators . The construction of such a station is carried out, most often, through a shaft , then tunnels are led to the station, and at the last stage a vestibule with a sloping passage is constructed.
Among the stations of the deep foundation stand out:
- pylon
- column
- single vaulted
- bunk interchange single-vaulted
- closed type ("horizontal lift")
The deepest in the world is the Kiev Metro Arsenalnaya station, which was opened in 1960 (depth of laying is 105.5 meters).
