Biography
He began his career in 1943 as a locksmith apprentice, 5th level scribbler of the metallurgical plant named after Andreeva in Taganrog, Rostov region. In 1949 he graduated with honors from the Rostov-on-Don Institute of Agricultural Engineering with a degree in Equipment and Technology for Welding Production.
- 1949-1956 - senior welding foreman, deputy head of the welded metal structures shop, head of the flux electrode shop, deputy head of the welded drum shop, deputy chief engineer of the Krasny Kotelshchik Taganrog Plant (TK3),
- 1956-1960 - chief engineer of the Barnaul boiler plant,
- 1960-1987 - rector of the Altai Polytechnic Institute. As a result of his activities in AltPI and its branches in the cities. Rubtsovsk and Biysk were built and equipped with new equipment and instruments in all educational and laboratory buildings, student dormitories, a residential building, a sanatorium, an indoor sports arena, a student café, a sports camp complex and other facilities. Under his direct scientific supervision in AltPI, for the first time in a technical university of the USSR, a large complex scientific, organizational and methodological work was carried out in the field of "Technology of Higher Education" (on the basis of computers) in the field of fundamentalization of objective testing of applicants' knowledge, it was developed (with the help of NIIVSh MV and the MTR of the USSR - A. - 1969 - founder of the scientific and pedagogical school in the field of welding production, organizer and head of the department "Equipment and technology for welding production", in 1997 she was transformed into the department "Small business and welding production". He was the author and co-author of more than 400 scientific and methodological works.
For many years he was chairman of the council of rectors of universities in the Altai Territory, he was repeatedly elected to the district, city and regional Councils of People's Deputies, the Supreme Council of the RSFSR (1980-1985).
Awards and titles
He was awarded four orders of the Red Banner of Labor, nine medals. Laureate of the Lenin Prize in the field of science and technology (1957), Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the RSFSR (1991).
Honorary citizen of the city of Barnaul.
