USSR Championship 1974
Main article: 1974 USSR Football Championship (major league)
The new seasonSpartak began confidently defeating Tbilisi Dynamo, the current USSR champion Ararat and Dynamo Kyiv. However, in the champion race with the Kievans, the red and white were second. The Ukrainian team confidently won the first place, “Spartak” was content with silver medals, which, after several unsuccessful seasons, was at least an acceptable result.
