Name Etymology

The Nogai name of the aul - Abram-Tobe avyl ( Abram-Tobe aul ) - means "Aul (mound) Abram-Tobe" and is associated with a large mound located to the west of the aul and bearing the name Abram-tobe ( Abram-tebe ) - " Abrama mound" (in the past, the store of Armenian Abram was located on this mound) [3] .

Distance to the regional center : 328 km.

Distance to the district center : 86 km.

History

According to the 1926 census, there were 150 households in the village with a population of 598 people (328 men and 270 women), of which 567 were Nogais and 31 were others. As of October 1, 1929, there was a school in Abram-Tube. At that time, it was the administrative center of the Abram-Tyube village council (and the only settlement in its composition) of the Achikulak district of the Dagestan ASSR [4] .

Until May 1, 2017, the village of Abram-Tyube was part of the Municipal Formation “Rural Settlement Tukuy-Mektebsky Village Council ” of the Neftekumsky District of the Stavropol Territory [5] .
